Was Runner Of The Month for
October Runner of the Month - Joe Wright-Mullaney
Coming in off the back of 10k and Half Marathon PB's in September, Joe has continued to push and excel, racking up PB's almost every time he ran in October!
Starting with a parkrun at Markeaton, knocking nearly 30s off, he then went Rushcliffe and took another 30s off, to go under the 23 minute mark for the first time!
Then some travelling came in to play as the next one was up at Whitby, but again, he took another 30s chunk off that PB to get down to 22:13 and a decent 13th place finish. Travels then took Joe to Wales and the Pont y Bala parkrun, where he backed it all up with another low 22 minute clocking and a dizzying 7th place finish - just seconds off a full house of PB's.
In amongst all that, he also managed to get down to Silverstone for a previously postponed 10k and easily went under 50 minutes for the first time - recording 48:51, to wipe out another 2 and a half minutes from his PB that was only set at Wilne, last month!
Safe to say it was an extremely busy and fruitful month for Joe.
Well done and keep it going - hopefully we'll see you transfer the form to the upcoming XC races!
