ROTM -Wendy Lauberts
Our runner of the month for January goes to Wonder Woman Wendy. A relative newcomer to the club Wendy is often seen at club nights as well a the Derby Runner Monday speed sessions. She has always been active but completed her first parkrun in 2016 and this month she completed her 100th with a fabulous PB of 25.06!
Since joining Long Eaton running club she has been no stranger to the blue and white and has launched herself into representing us in cross country league races, team relay and volunteering with energy and enthusiasm.
As a F55 runner she is true inspiration and I look forward to seeing her go from strength to strength as she trains for half marathons, including Tissington later this year.
