Runner of the Month (January)
A long time member of LERC, completing nearly 500 races, Alan has aged remarkably well and consistently performs well, across the year time and time again.
January has seen Alan complete 4 different X-C races, as well as the club time trial and a couple of parkruns. His results have shown how he's thriving and just how competitive and successful he is, in his V55 category.
Unfortunately, there's no age groups given for the EMXC races to show this, but came in comfortably inside the top-50 of both races, against all age groups, meaning it is highly likely he was at least in the top 3 at both.
In the Booths/Derby Runner League, Alan has all but guaranteed a top-2 finish in the overall standings, with a chance of taking top spot. His position was strengthened with a classy 2nd place finish at Bramcote Hills.
Alan's finest moment of the month though, came at Wollaton Park, as he claimed a brilliant bronze medal at the Nottinghamshire County Championships.
In our own internal league, Alan has completed 10 Winter League races already and sits 3rd overall, leading the M50 category!
It's been great to see such a servant to the club still running strongly, still showing the commitment to club nights and training hard and being rewarded with strong performances and a few prizes to boot.
Congratulations, Alan.
