Notts AAA Road Race League 3rd place for the Senior Men - Aston leads the way
Notts AAA Road Race League 2018 ends - Final positions
After another competitive Nottinghamshire AAA road race season ends, the senior men's team earned an excellent 3rd place, following the magnificent 2nd team spot in 2017.
Aston Perrin was the key to the success with a consistent set of finishes - 2nd, 1st, 2nd, 2nd & 3rd places over the five race series. He was also 2nd in the overall table, and 2nd senior, receiving a well-deserved Notts AAA Summer League silver medal. He was supported overall by another twelve club runners, who all contributed with at least one scoring position. Of those, Mario Rocchelli & Mark Lay both counted four times, with Mark running in all five races. Adam White and Ryan Haw three times, and Tim Caldwell, Mike Howard & Mike Widdowson counting twice, were the notable others. Tim Baggs, Rich Howe, Anthony Hatswell, Paul Allcock and Paul Lewis all chipped in with one counting score. All thirteen will receive a Notts AAA Summer League team bronze medal.
The Men's Vets were 10th overall, with the Senior Women's team in 6th place.
