Autumn Events for your diaries

Two events of interest to all club members this Autumn.

1. Following the Long Eaton Park Run on either 6th or 20th of October, the Nottinghamshire Athletics Network (NAN) will hold an Injury Prevention Workshop, presented by Paul Whittingham from Sutton Harriers. The event will take approximately one hour, and Paul will discuss the causes of those annoying and frustrating running injuries picked up when training and racing, and demonstrate ways to prevent them from happening.

More information nearer the time. Likely venue - Rugby Club, inside or out, depending on the weather. Free, but a voluntary £2/head requested to contribute to cost of other NAN-sponsored events.

2. On Saturday 27th October the club is hosting the British Masters Athletics Federation Cross Country Relays at West Park for the fourth year running.

This event has grown in stature, and LERC benefits massively from hosting it. As well as entering competing teams, there is an obvious requirement for course marshals and manpower on the day to set up and clear away.

Clubs from all over the UK will be competing, and you will see top level Masters athletes in action.

This is for 35's and over, so it's a good chance for you "non-vets" to help out - after a fast LE PR of course.
