Tim Baggs leads way in Heritage GP Series.
Holme Pierrepont RC’s Heritage Grand Prix series may have to be re-instated into the LERC Summer League next year as only 18 LERC members fully completed this summer’s competition, considerably down on previous years. Maybe league points awarded on the basis of the final table?
However, those who did compete more than made for the low turnout, and were still well-represented in the final tables, with individual placings over the 4 races, summarised as follows:
Tim Baggs - 1st V40, 10th male overall in 1 hr 49 mins 16 secs in total (by only 32 secs over next vet man), including huge PB’s at 5k & 10k.
Rich Howe - 13th male overall & 10th senior, 1:50:04. (10k PB at Holme Pierrepont)
Dave Riley - 1st V60, 2:05:42 (by 42 secs over nearest rival).
Val Lindsey - 2nd FV60, 2:42:43.
Team-wise, and in a final table of 16 complete teams, the men were 4th, 7th, 11th & 15th.
Chris Scott (27th overall in 1:54:35) joined Tim and Rich to form the top LERC team, with an aggregate series time of 5 hrs 33 mins 55 secs, a mere 5 mins behind Beaumont RC (of Leics), Formula One & Southwell RC.
The LERC women’s team was 5th overall in 7:32:38. Annette Trindall, Vicky Parker & Anna Mulligan-Freeman, with Vicky and Anna achieving PB's in the final 10k at Holme Pierrepont.
