Road Runner's Seminar - 7th April

I've now done my homework. Unfortunately, British marathon runners are not household names any more. However John Beattie may be a name that will be more widely recognised in the near future.

John is 29, and a member of Newham and Essex Beagles, and Tulsa University Running Clubs.

He competed for England in the 2010 Commonwealth Games 10,000m in Delhi, and ran 2hrs 16mins 38secs in the 2012 London Marathon.

His track PBs at 10,000 & 5000m are 28.32 & 13.42.

His road PBs are: 10 miles - 48.59, 10k - 29.42 amongst other impressive distance/times.

He will be joining us for training on Tuesday 7th April, and giving a seminar afterwards in the Rugby Club, about marathon/half marathon training and preparation, with reference to his achievements as a top British marathon runner. There will be a Q&A session afterwards.

We will be starting at 6.30pm on the night, so we can train and get to the Rugby Club for Johns talk. We aim to be finished by 9pm.
