Open Graded Athletics Meeting - Saturday 22 Nov.

An open indoor track meeting will take place at the English Institute of Sport (EIS), Sheffield, on Saturday 22nd Nov. Any of us can enter, and take part in an indoor track race, officially gun-started, finished and timed, and recorded on the Power of Ten web-site. There are no prizes, no minimum standards, just the opportunity to compete on an indoor track in competition conditions.

The opposition will be male or female, any age (literally).

There is only really the option of an 800m or 3000m race, or you may fancy a dash over 300m. There will also be some 60m and 60m hurdles, as well as some in-field events for entertainment. Event timings are; 12.00 to 16.30.

The cost is 5 per event, or 7 for two, or even 8 for three. All details including timings can be found on www.nottsaaa.org. The closing date for entries is 18th Nov, but there will be entries on the day at a 2 surcharge.

This is a good opportunity for those of you who are Weds night regulars, to test yourself, and gain some indoor track experience. You have nothing to lose. A few of us have run in this event before, and enjoyed it. Just think - no wind, no rain, no climb (applicable to fell runners only).

ps. The "graded" bit means that, where possible and if entry numbers allow, you will be running against those of a comparable ability.
