Another Saturday, another great LERC turnout at Parkrun events

Well with summer definitely on the doorstep! The Harris family doing a speedwork session later in the day, and the Virgin London marathoners resting or slowing it down, it was good to see that Team LERC does not let the parkrun events down.

With 8 runners going to Colwick and 2 to Rushcliffe Team LERC were well represented,
With Natalie Teece overall 6th place, missing out on a Pb by 1 second, but joining an elite group of LERC female parkrun winning female runners taking 1st lady. Patrick Fitzgerald leading Team LERC home in 5th place followed by Phill Abbot in 7th. For their first Parkrun Cheryl Brown being next home in 22nd with 21m 55s, a brand new Pb and there was Sarah Robins 114th with 31m, first race as well as Parkrun, she is now looking forward to competing at the Derby 10k in two weeks time.

Also Team LERC juniors was represented by Andy Abbot 93rd, Andy has been missing for a while hopefully this will mark his return.

Stephane Catelain 93rd and Damian Cowlishaw 115th were also present, whilst Pete Sturgess 77th and Mellisa Shaw 107th attended the Rushcliffe parkrun.

Long Eaton Running club now have 57 registered members running at Colwick parkrun, putting us 3rd in the Colwick parkrun club table.

So if you haven't had a go, come and try it, it's great fun, free and they are well organised events.
