Colwick parkrun 26th May 2012
Well what a difference a day makes! Especially when that day has plenty of sunshine. The fantastic weather brought out 7 LERC runners to this parkrun event, which is possibly the most to have ever taken part at any one parkrun. It got better, as the LERC team brought home the coveted first place and 2 new Pb's.
With the sun shining, Patrick Fitzgerald was race winner with a CB of (18:48). Paddy can now lay claim to join the elite group of LERC runners who have won a parkrun. Next home was Rob Jackson in 18th (21:04 and first M50), with new pb holder Martin Matthews 19th (21.12) very close on his heels. John "Lindsay" Hay romped in in 25th (21:50) and was just 8 seconds away from a new Pb. Better luck next time, John.
14 year old Zach Ferguson was next home for the club in 50th and ran 23:58, which was a new pb. He was not only first JM14, but has bettered his pb at the last 3 parkruns, so well done Zach! Dad Rich Ferguson, pacing his son, finished in 51st (23:59), while Damian Cowlishaw was next back in 61st (24:46). Martin Tilling, pacing for his wife, was the final LERC finisher in 104th (30:35), with 149 completing the run.
