White Peak Marathon/Half Marathon.
This event esepcially the Half Marathon is always hard to get to enter never mind run as all the places go within 4 days of the event being advertised. 3 members managed it with Annette Trindell doing the Half and John Birch and Damien Cowlishaw doing the Full. The Full marathon startup up hill and keeps on going up for the first few miles before flattening out and the going down two sharp drops with the last sharp drop lasting for a mile before turning left on the canal for the last .75 of a mile. The half marathon starts half way along the same course. The weather was winday on the day which made things difficult on an exposed route. John Birch was first back for Long Eaton in the Marathon in a time of 3:23:16 (16th), Damien was 177th in a time of 4:40:21. Annette in the shorter race set a good time of 1:53:24
Eyam Half Marathon
Only 1 LERCER at this one with Ducan Gedge getting a new course best of 1:50:24 , Good Running Dunc.
