Notts Road race league Race 2 Holmepierrepont
Long Eaton had a good evening in the 2nd race of 5 of the notts road race league, considering there were 413 runners in the race. 35 Lerecers attended with 11 of those being ladies.Long Eatons senior men were in 6th place after the first race but a fine 5th place on the night meant they climbed up 1 place and now are in 5th place overall. The vets men also climbed a place in the standings and are now second with a fine 2nd place finish on the night. The Ladies consoildated their 3rd place in the table with a good 3rd place finish on the night and are only 10 points behind the second place team of Notts AC. Noteable performance were from Sarah Harris who won the Ladies race with Monica Fee 12th and Liz Day 15th. Rod Harris and Paul Lewis were 7th and 8th respectivly and Rob Fox 2nd MV50. On a lighter note a wardrobe malfunction occured for one of the Long Eaton ladies, where by Rachel Woollard's Sports Bra decided to do (or undo) its own thing and let Rachel be free. There were many offers of help for Rachel strangely enough mainly from the male LERCERs who ran the race.
