Shinning Cliffs Fell Race

Just 4 Long eaton runners attended this race, possibly due to the extended bank holidays.
This was the first running of the new 6.5 mile two lap course, the course was very dry and hard underfoot with 1.5 mile going downhill you new that it had to come back up sooner or later, the woods where astray with Bluebells giving the area an unreall look.

First back for the club and in a fantastic 8th place overall was Ed Murden, 49m 18s
Second back was paul Burchell who is marking his come back with some great running, just not quite getting the sub 1 hour and coming in at 1h 19s. 51st place.
Third back was Bill Sheppard, still not having a rest after compleating the 4 Inns 40 mile challenge only 3 weeks ago, 1h 4m 48s.73rd place.

The last of the LERC runners was Damian Cowlishaw, also a competitor in the 4 Inns challenge and who also has had no rest but was saving himself for a 10k race on Easter Monday, 1h 12m 01s. 102 place.
