A long initial climb then a succession of sodden bogs and off track heather bashing and a series of gentle ascents and descents without technical running enabled Dicky Wilkinson to finish 20th in 65m 17s in his final fell race in the veteran 40 class. Well organised, friendly with endless cups of tea at the presentation this was a great way to end a year of sport on the Cumbrian fells
