LERC men triumph again

The Goose Fair Gallop 10K race was once again wom by the men of long Eaton running Club with 3 Members in the top 8 and 7 in the top 20. Andy Colegate was 3 mins behind the winner to claim 2nd spot, the now usual battle between Ian Chant and Rob Fox was settled by only 1 second with Ian the Victor to Claim 7th place with rob only the width of a vest behind in 8th. Long Eaton had 25 runners competing in this very undulating 6.2 miles which was over 10% of the field with 7 of them Ladies, Louise Hughes wanting an easy course chose the wrong one but finished really well in 53:27 good traning for the Turkey Trot in December, only 1 PB to report with Andy Willescroft enjoying the course and set 44:24, CBs were set by Cath Crockford,Ian Chant and despite being delayed by Horses, stopping for a Pee and a "rest Stop" Shaun Burton set a new course best by 3:15.
