Notts Road Race League 2
Holme Pierrepont was the venue, a flat 5 mile the distance, weather was cool with drizzle in the air which meant that 20% of the Long Eaton running club members turned out with a massive 9 ladies competing (meaning in numbers not size) the largest turn out of LERC ladies since the Heritage series in 2008. Of the 33 runners running for Long Eaton 12 set new best times and two new runners ran good times with Duncan Watts running his first race for LERC in around 38 minutes for the five miles.
Long Eaton senior Mens team were in 5th place and the senior ladies in 6th after the first race at Epperstone a couple of weeks ago, but both men and ladies had a stronger showing at Holme Pierrepont. The official results are awaited to see if we move up the standings.
