Long Eaton Cross Country (EMXC2)
The 2nd race in 2 weeks in the East Midlands Cross Country League was held at Trent Meadows. The course having to be changed significantly due to Works towards attenborough Nature reserve meant that Glen Coleman and Chris Robson put in a few more twists, turns and rises to go along with the infamous “Bank” (the Mud which was quite apparent , made the going very slippy) was met with general approval and comments to the effect that it was the best cousre that LERC have staged for a cross country. As it was 76 men ran the 5.3 miles and 35 women ran the shorter course of about 3. Two LERC women ran Debbie Coleman coming home 25th and Louise Jansen in training for the Tough Guy was 33rd. 16 Lerc Men ran the race and the finishing positions meant that after 2 races in the league Long Eaton are 1st in Both the Mens senior and veterans league and 5th in the senior ladies.
