Recent Stunning Individual Performances (Part One)
On 27th September 2008 Colin Bostock completed the Thieveley Pike fell race, a short course of 4.2 miles but don’t let the distance fool you into thinking that makes it easy. The course involved an ascent of 1300 feet. Out of 91 finishers Colin crossed the line in 67th position in a time of 46:44.
On 28th September 2008 Colin Bostock left the fells for the roads of Walsall. He represented the club in the Walsall 10k race, finishing in 45:43.
On 28th September 2008 Brian Jobe smashed his half marathon personal best in spectacular fashion. He completed the Macclesfield Half Marathon in 1:34:34.
Also on 28th September 2008 Mark Harrison and Catherine Benson represented the club in the Clumber Park 10k race in Nottingham. Catherine finished in 13th position in 46:06 with Mark finishing in 47:10. Two of the newer runners to the Club used this race as their debut. Amy Patrick and Anne Hemmingsley ran the course together, with the goal of breaking 1:15:00. They smashed their goal, crossing the line in 1:09:32.
