Up on the Fells
Bradwell Fell race
On 5th August 2008 Colin Bostock competed in the Bradwell Fell race, a 4.5 mile course with 650 feet of climb. Colin finished in 90th position in a time of 38:21.
Steel Fell race
On 6th August 2008 Rich Wilkinson tackled the gruelling Steel Fell race, a 3 mile course with 1115 feet of climb. He finished 33rd out of 62 runners in a time of 29:07.
Cracken Edge Fell race
On 6th August 2008 4 Long Eaton runners competed in the Cracken Edge Fell race, a 7 mile course with 1450 feet of climb. Andrei Vais, who actually made the start of the race, was first home for the club in 57:53 finishing 76th overall. Colin Bostock finished in 1:04:26 in 136th position. Sean Gauton finished in 1:07:30 and 147th position. Damian Cowlishaw (hereby known as Andrei No.2) arrived 15 minutes late, but decided to run the course anyway, finishing in 1:27:00.
