Stathern Festival 10k
On Sunday 22nd June 2008 three Long Eaton runners competed in the Stathern Festival 10k race. Considered a personal best course, it is mainly flat through country roads. The course leaves Stathern village, to the village of Plungar, along the canal road and back to Stathern.
Sean Matthews, on his return to racing, was first home for the club with a time of 41:38, finishing 22nd overall. Catherine Rowe completed the course in 46:11, finishing 46th and Bill Sheppard finished in 48:01 in 60th position.
