East Midlands Cross Country Race 3 – Bramcote Park
The third race took place at Bramcote Park and as expected there was a great turnout for the club. Despite the windy conditions Paul Lewis finished the 6.2-mile course third in a time of 35:49. Alan Seamer finished 11th in 37:01 with Andy Colegate finishing 13th in 37:30, followed by Rich Wilkinson in 39:16. Alan Maplethorpe finished in 41:30. Jaik Pickford finished in 42:53, immediately followed by Mario Rochelli in 42:55. David Riley finished in 45.46 with John Hay finishing in 46:22. Shaun Burton finished in 47:37. Bill Sheppard finished in 48:15. Damien Cowlishaw finished in a new course best time of 49:21, with Peter Fowles finishing in 52:02.
Catherine Rowe was the only lady from LERC to race the 3.1 mile course. It was her first cross country race and she finished 22nd in 24:40.
