Turkey Trot

On Sunday 9th December 33 Long Eaton runners made the trip to Keyworth and given the forecasts, the elements were mercifully kind to the field of 762 runners that took part in the 25th Turkey Trot. The course is a single circuit, all on road, starting and finishing in the village of Keyworth passing through the undulating rural scenery and villages of the South Nottinghamshire Wolds. The course is considered to be both challenging and rewarding, and being a little hilly, is well suited to being run in December.

The men’s team of Rod Harris, Andy Colegate and Richard Wilkinson won First Prize! Rod finished in 1:12:02 and second overall, followed by Andy in 1:17:27 and tenth overall and Richard finished in 1:22:56 and 28th overall.
