Presentation Evening
On Friday 30th November Long Eaton Running Club held its Summer Presentation Evening at Risley Park Hotel. The pre meal drinks saw most people trying to recognise fellow runners who were unrecognisable out of their running kit. A number of the gentlemen wore dinner jackets, with all of the ladies looking very elegant in evening attire. Special mention has to go to Andrei Vais who deserved an award for the best dressed, wearing full Scottish regalia in honour of St Andrews Day. After a long hard season it was time for the runners to let their hair down.
The evening began with a three-course meal with the wearing of Christmas hats being obligatory. The Master of Ceremony, Phil Abbott, then kicked off the formal proceedings.
