Shepshed 7
On Sunday 4th November 11 runners from Long Eaton Running Club headed over to Shepshed to take part in a 7 mile two lap race over a scenic, traffic free, countryside course through Garendon Park which is usually closed to the public.
The course had an accurate 10k marker so congratulations to Alan Seamer for his fastest 10k this year and to Duncan Gedge for his first 10k under 45 minutes!
Alan completed the course in a time of 41:10, followed by his son, Luke in a time of 45:20. Next home for the club was Phil Abbott in a time of 46:26, not bad considering he had completed a fell race the previous day. John Hay completed the course in 50:51, followed by Phil Thompson in a time of 51:15. Duncan finished in a time of 51:43, followed by Shaun Burton in a time of 52:13. Bill Sheppard finished in 55:07, followed by Catherine Rowe in a time of 55:14. Damien Cowlishaw came home in a time of 57:02, which is a course best for him and Richard McKie completed the course in 58.33 which is also a course best for him!
