Grindleford Gallop
This race set in Derbyshires Peak District is set over 21 miles and 6 intrepid Long Eatoners ran, long time runner Rob Jackson was 40th in a fine 3:06:04, Phil Wallis searching for Long Distances was 110th with 3:36:29 , Colin “Miles” Bostock was only six places further back and 3:40:24, John Hammond 145th in 3:51:21. Phil and John are in training for a 180 mile run over a week later on in the year, with daily distances of up to 40 miles a day so this race was relativly short for them.
