History is made
Long Eaton Running Club held their Christmas dinner dance and Presentation evening at Breadsall Priory on Friday 8th December. The event organised by Barbara Bostock also included the draw for the Club's London Marathon Places and this year for the first time in the clubs 20 years there were 4 places to be had. The Club now has over 200 members and as a result London Marathon gave an extra place, 1 place for every 50 club members. The lucky Recipients were Liz Rawling, John Hay, Phil Abbott and the unique fourth place went to Jodie Smith.
The presentation for the summer season were as follows senior women:- 1st Monica Fee, 2nd Jodie Smith and 3rd Vicky Yeomans. Veteran women 1st Annette Ellison, 2nd Caroline Waterhouse and 3rd Carole Birch. The mens were Senior 1st Andy Colegate, 2nd Luke Seamer and 3rd Paul Lewis. Veterans 1st Rich Wilkinson, 2nd Mens Captain John Birch and 3rd Patrick Fitzgerald.
