Ladies are best in wood

Long Eaton Ladies team were first at the Bestwood 10K on Sunday 22nd . Monica Fee (45.21) , Jodie Smith (47.24) and Debbie Parker (51.10) won the team prize of £90 after running a tough 10K course, especially so in the second half. The mens team, including father and son Alan and Luke Seamer (38.23 & 40:20) along with Glen Coleman (39.01), just missed out on first place.

A personal best for John Hay (48.31) sees him continue his good recent form whilst Dave Riley also deserves a mention for running in his work trousers and still running in in less than 47 minutes.

In the 1 Mile fun run the next generation of Long Eaton runners were taking part. Good runs from Andy Abbott (6), Willow Abbott (5) and Ellis Cowlishaw (5) means that the future of Long Eaton Running Club is looking bright.
