Getting excited now

Postby boyband6666 » Wed Sep 09, 2015 9:25 am

I'm 3 days in to my break from running after the summer season, and already I'm gettign twitchy to crack on with VLM training. I'll be aiming for a 6 month plan to get me PBs all the way up to 26.2, with <2.35 being the aim. This year has been a let down running wise, so I'm looking forward to pushing on!

Anyway questions for you all:

- Anyone found any interesting training plans?

- Any ideas fora decent half marathon to do next year? The two that looked credible for me clash with the National XC - since that is so close it'd be a shame not to run!

- What're your aims?

Gaz has always enjoyed Stafford half. Gets good competition he would have used it for vlm training if it hadn't clashed with a stage do .This year it did clash with Ashby 20 but it didn't the year before.

I just checked, and it clashes with Ashby :-(

I had toyed with doign the Finchley 20mile, but it is a long way to go for 4 laps, so will stick with Ashby (which i think is a great race).

Hopefully the year after it'll be clear, as it looks good, and I'd never heard of it before.

That's a shame. Gaz will be disappointed as he hoped to do both.
