What is the second claim and how does it work?

Postby Rover » Fri Jun 24, 2011 8:38 am

I am moving down to work in Cornwall very soon (Pete Sturgess is also there I think) and want to continue to run for both LERC (on weekends home) but also to do runs in Cornwall through a local club down there.

How do I do this officially - and what's the second claim business? Do I need to pay 2 lots of annual fees?

All help welcomes!

yes - 2 fees but most clubs have a much reduced fee for second claim members as they dont have to pay out for affiliation. I think I pay about £12 for my second claim club and it gives me a set of club paid races in a league lerc doesnt compete in.

I emailed all the possible ones asking for the cost of the 2nd claim membership + a vest and went with the cheapest!
Finally got time to return to the club, both virtually and physically, and I'm on the injured step.................
