Newbie

Postby Jemmataylorsmith » Tue Sep 30, 2014 7:39 am

After running my first half on Sunday, thinking that I might come along on Thursday (if my aching legs ease a bit). Hate running on my own in the dark and now winter is on its way, thinking that joining a club will ensure I can keep running.

I'm not the fastest runner - did the half in 2:25, so wondering if I'll be able to keep up?!

Hi Jemma

Congrats for the half on Sunday, is was a warm sunny day! Keep moving / walking to shake those legs out.

We love fast and steady all runners so don't worry about speed. You are right with the dark nights keeping safe running with others.

We will look after you, so ask for myself, Ash or Kev on the night.

If you haven't already get yourself something hi viz to be seen, sports direct etc. do a cheap range and can just get a hi viz bib to go over the top for less than a fiver.

Hope to see you Thursday. Rach

Thanks for replying.

Looks like it might be next Thursday now. Think we're going to take the kids to Goose Fair on Thurs night. We were going on Sat but they've forecast heavy rain!

Looking forward to it.

Regards

Jemma
