With the London Marathon only 3 months away, runners are doing lots of races as well as many long training runs to be fit for April 22nd, with over 25 members of the Long Eaton Running Club accepted for the 26.2 miles in the capital city.
Good results have been set in recent races with Sharon Orridge becoming the veteran Ladies cross country race champion on the 21st of Jan. One race in which the chances of a club member winning are lessened, is the Long Eaton 5 mile race, which is going to be held on 10th June 2007, with most members helping out with the organization of the race and not running. If you would like to run in June or find out more, the Long Eaton Running Club Web site (www.longeatonrunningclub.com) will have information and entry forms for the race in coming weeks.
