Sunday 18th-the classic mash

Postby Sheila » Wed Jan 14, 2015 9:10 am

Maz's classic marathon mash up route is back this weekend. The basic route is about 13 and a bit miles. We need to do 14 miles so we're doing a loop of West Park beforehand to make the distance up. There are numerous options to cut the distance down-meet at the Navigation, meet at Risley Park, come back through Risley etc etc.
To get the full 14 mile mash up experience we'll be meeting at WPLC at 7.45 for a prompt 7.50 start of the park lap. We'll be leaving WPLC at 8.00 and heading up to the Navi.
Pace: sloth
My name is not really Sheila, or Iris. It's just plain old Laura.

Maz, how far into the run is that? Leaving wplc at 8.00. Sarah, someone who knows the route better than me could advise you where to join. Maybe risley park and then cut off. Anna might know.

You'll be at Risley park at about 8.30am I reckon. Sarah, if you park at Risley park pub and do the route you did with us, I make it about 6.5 miles...give or take a bit because I can't map the exact route. Some of it is on trails that aren't marked on the 'map my run' map. You could add a bit on before or after if needed. I'm not sure what I'm doing yet, but I'm hoping to catch up with you somewhere. I'm thinking it may be fun to surprise you!!! ;-)

Right... I reckon 8.30am at risley -
Best turn off is when we come out off hopewell- Sarah u could turn left back to risley which would give u 7ish
Scott could go with u then continue from risley then down Longmoor lane then petersham rd to west park - that will give u a tad over 11!
Hope that helps!
