Club Training 7th April - Short or Long grouped run

Arrive from 6.45pm for run to start at 7pm from West park leisure centre, warm up room to the left of the entrance.



With marathons ahead and races, we have 2 options for a short or long.

These are still to be grouped runs running training with each other and not leaving anyone on their own lost in a field!



[b]OPTION 1 : 5.1 MILES [/b]



To Eaton Farm pub island - Straight 'on', Petersham Road - To the bend and crossover onto Longmoor Lane - underneath the

Motorway bridge - Right stile across the 'horse' field -Right path at the stile, the strawberry fields paths to Derby Road, Risley - Crossover and gravel path in front between the houses - To 'Nook' gate - Straight 'on' down the hill - Stile gate across Maywood Golf hole -Along the wood land on the left - First bridge Stile path, path loops round back onto Derby Road via 'posh'house and stream - Left Derby Road - Right path 'Goldenbrook' sign posted - To A52 bridge to crossover right - Left path to re-trace strawberry field paths and back

[b]OPTION 2 : 7.3 MILES [/b]

Motorway bridge - Right stile across the 'horse' field -Right path at the stile, the strawberry fields paths to Derby Road, Risley - Crossover and gravel path in front between the houses - To 'Nook' gate - Straight 'on' down the hill - Stile gate across Maywood Golf course and right path to the house - Path along the bush going up hill to No Mans Lane - Right No Man Lane to the bottom - Up Stanton Road - To the Motorway bridge and right path to Frisland School/ Rushey Lane - Left Rushey Lane - Right path along the bushes to 'Nook Gate' and left to retrace back strawberry field paths - Left Parkside Avenue - Right gate into the park and left round the semi loop of the park.



If light fading just come down main road back to leisure centre.

I've heard we won't be meeting in the usual room anymore on Thursdays.

We will be using the usual room in the leisure centre from 6.30pm to 7pm for the next year at least. There was a possibility of this facility not being available due to a steep rise in the hourly rate. However, this has been resolved and Ash's famous warm-ups will carry on, Tuesdays and Thursdays!

lol even though standing warm ups are not recommended when muscles are cold but more dynamic warm ups / drills better before a run to increase the heart rate and get ready for the activity ahead, standing stretches for after!
