Great race but a bit wet!
The start was delayed because no car were allowed on the main Field close to the starting Line. So everyone were directed to park in the main car park. I have got hold up at the start behind a few other runners. By the time we were climbing lose hill I found my self with the usual runners that I am running with. The path stones were very slippery many runners slow the pace down. The second climbe towards Mom Tor lasted ages as usual. Then extra breaks were need it in the way down.

I have found Castleton race challenging and techincal in every aspects. I will be back next year again to improve my time.

Same race as usual
Mildly damp compared with most of the lakeland races. Not really a fell race when you can see the start/finish from most of the circuit and it is mostly on paths. Experience on big hills puts it into perspective. Having said that it is a nice place to run but the up hills are challenging for a oldie like me.
