Changes to the forum?

Post by creakinees » Tue Apr 12, 2016 9:29 pm

Is it just me or has the format of the forum changed - the page centres in the screen with wide blank sections down the left and right margins.

Not a big issue but the link to the main website seems to have gone too - the "Long Eaton Running Club" at the top of the page is no longer clickable.

I've just had a big update to my Windows 10 so is it something they've mucked up I wonder.

the forum has been updated to the latest stable release - I'm struggling to restore the link back to the main site - the code on this one is a bit different. I'll find it.....
Finally got time to return to the club, both virtually and physically, and I'm on the injured step.................

Hi pabc, how do you reach the forum from the home page?
Am I missing something very obvious?
Cheers.

yes - right hand side - there is a menu. bottom option. Or, if on a mobile device, the light blue box with 3 horizontal lines in - click that and a menu slides out

Hi PABC. On my Laptop when I click on the Forum button it takes me to the facebook or twitter page. There are 3 rectangles that seem to be overlaying the forum link causing this to happen. Only reason I can think of for this is that I am not using Windows 10 on my laptop???? Any ideas.

I see,

It's because your vertical resolution is tiny on your laptop, but is wide enough so the site doesn't go into 'mobile phone' mode

press ctrl and the minus key once or twice and problem solved - I'll look into other solutions myside

Also, you might want to check you've got your screen resolution high enough - it's very unusual to be a small as yours must be

Cheers for that pabc, but...
I can only see the forum option when I reduce the 'zoom level' for the screen, instead of 100% which is set for everything else.
This laptop is using Windows 7 if you need to know.
Cheers.

OK. I'll play at something today to handle small vertical resolution people

can the you 2 have a look at the front page and http://www.longeatonrunningclub.com/standings.php and let me know if you can see all the links on both.

I've squeezed space in the menus so I think the homepage with 7 links in the menu will be ok for all but the very smallest screens, but the other page has 8 and if the bottom one is obscured I'll just combine 2 of those pages
