LERC unofficial Christmas drinkies.

The off-topic area. All the drivel you'd normal spout in the pub goes here.

OK so it's a couple of months away however, how about:

Different venue’s from previous outings however, good pubs & with a general itinerary as follows:
1.00 Crafty Crow
2.00 Malt Cross (newly re-opening end October)
3.00 The Three Crowns
4.00 Das Kino (new place on Fletcher Gate)
5.00 Kean’s Head

Chris, the Crafty Crow is just across from Nottingham Castle. I believe it used to be called "BZR" but is now a real ale bar and supports a lot of the LocALE (Sic) brewers. The price of the beer is based on its ABV content e.g.3.4% to 4%
= £2.70 4.1% to 4.5% = £2.90 and so on - a good concept me thinks!

Malt Cross is down St.James Street (left hand side) as you approach the market square. It's repoening shortly and has had lottery funding support.

Three Crowns - opposite the Theatre Royal - will see if they can put chip cobs on for us but can't promise.

Das Kino is on Fletcher Gate next to the Malt Cross pub (they have table tennis tables in the baqck of the pub - bit random but there it is). They do some good ales, craft beers (a bit too cold for me liking) and a mega range of European bottled beers - not the cheapest place but somewhere a little different.

Kean's Head - great little Castle Rock pub nr.St Mary's Church in the Lace Market.

After all that you're gonna say you have other plans...!? Ho ho.

No correlation between you going in those pubs and them closing I hope!?

Was in Das Kino yesterday. Had a bottle of Roscoe ale - a 5.5% American amber ale with a hint of honey - a smasher!

Hope we can get a few people out for this afternoon soiree.

Great stuuf - it's a good afternoon and the more the merrier.

Might also be worth a little trip to the Christmas market on the market square assuming that it's on this year? :bigsmurf:

C.J's as you wish - they're on sale everywhere this year...!

If it's a once a year wear, then Matalan seem to be cheap, having looked at a few in their window when passing the other day. :-"
