Long Eaton Running Club

Welcome . [login|register]

At Long Eaton Running Club, we cater for all ages and abilities, from the 12 minute miler to the 12 miles an hour athlete. We run on Tuesdays and Thursdays, meeting at 6.30p.m. for an optional warm up session then start running at 7pm. We organise at least 2 different distances to cater for different abilities & if you are new a LERC member will stay with you so you won't get lost. After training, a few of us always go for a beer or two at a local pub, so please join us for a chat. Have a look around our site and if you fancy a run with us why not pop along one club night. We don't bite.

Runner of the Month

Congratulations to Amanda Larkin
Runner of the Month (December) - Amanda Larkin A remarkably consistent runner whenever she pulls on the blue and white, Amanda has had a very solid 2018 and has finished on a real high. Beginning the month at the Bakewell X-C, Amanda came home as our first female finisher to collect 150 Winter League points and she's followed this up at the Queens Head Canter 5k, finishing as second female while running almost a minute quicker than last year! Clearly in a bit of form, Amanda has had a real go at parkrun this month, completing the Long Eaton course all 5 times it was held, gaining confidence and speed with each run. This included her 100th run on her birthday. This finally culminated in a PB of 22:48, beating her previous best which was set way back in 2016!
